my original poetry
ha. if you can get porcelain to bark...it will surely be a miracle...or if he eats...smiles...sounds like unmet expectation to me...
I really like this! :)
Frustrating, indeed....but wow is this good.(Ages ago I went on a date with a guy who had his favorite dog stuffed and sitting beside his sofa. I couldn't see him again after that!)
I like this. Perfect combination of desire and frustration and mystery.
I like it! good one- I had a porcelain horse as a child that I felt that way about!
Wonderfully different take. I like it.
well done - I like this very much, Wayne - what you say & what you don't say (& what the whole says to me)
I like your take on the frustration of both parties ~ Enjoyed this ~
I have enjoyed my visit here tremendously. Thank you.
Sometimes I wish some of my ornaments were real too...Anna :o]
When he barks, he'll be so happy, after being stifled in the shell of porcelain for so long, that he'll break.
Barks and love .... yep!!
I have seen several poems based on this portrait, but yours was the only one with a "pre-fab" dog. The idea of waiting for what can never logically come is part sad, part too funny. Waiting for it to bark? When it does, call a doctor!! Peace, Amy
