THREE ARTISTS

Haze
three artists boarding a train
the clatter of the tracks
passing Rockefeller Centre
where the mural once was
Frida and Diego
using a glaze of sweat for a primer
and arranging broken glass
for their mosaic
Jackson Pollock standing beside his bottle
stick in hand
dripping
the scorching red paint
to carve an image on the floor
dripping
over the fence
down the post
dripping
on his granular sandwich
the willful ambasador of paint
dripping
showing Kahlo and Rivera
his sublime art
dripping
all the way to Birdland
to hear Charlie Parker
play for Lenin
empty his bottle
and finish his painting

Using words from read write poem ..... mosaic, willful, sublime, fence, granular, post, scorching, carve, glaze, finish

Nicely evokes the process of painting, and putting the words to good use.

Hi Wayne, love the way you got all those words in, and managed to drop so many names too. You could hyperlink all the artist's names if you really wanted.

How?
(1)go to your edit page in blogger. (the place where you typed this poem)
(2)just above the text box you'll see a toolbar, run your cursor over the icons, and they will tell you what they do.
(3)find the hyperlink icon, then go back and highlight a word (Khalo, perhaps)
(4) click the hyperlink icon, and a box will appear. type or paste in the URL you want to link to, and Robert's your mum's best friend!
Hope this helps!!

In rereading this, it struck me as interesting that Lenin is present, but not Trotsky. Now I will wonder what you were thinking. =)

This poem is a painting in itself! I love all the specific names and the picture of Pollock standing there with his dripping stick!

I see that someone already helped you with the hyperlink thing. I just learned of it myself about a week ago but it's easy and works like a charm!
