IMAGINE

IMAGINE

after the storm
the butterfly comes to the flower
covered with new pollen
in the valley of the mother's garden
near the bird nest at the crossroads
slowly, lofting with the wind
she soars higher than the pansies
smiling at us

Wanye, what a beautiful poem. I love the picture you have 'painted' with words of the butterfly smiling as it soars!

(and thanks for commenting in my blog!)

Wayne, I like your images of beauty and butterfly transformation after the storm. The "mother's garden" imagery feels especially tender and the idea of "new pollen" hopeful.

This must be what peace looks like.

That is one very good poem: covers a world of emotion in so few words.
